About Emma
As a Lebanese-Polish woman and artist, Emma is passionate about telling authentic and provocative stories while centering women on screen and behind the camera. Her films revolve around the complexities of feminine emotions, ranging from rage to joy and everything in between. She is heavily influenced by other women artists including Julia Ducournau, Catherine Breillat, Ana Lily Amirpour, and more. When she is not making or watching movies, Emma is singing karaoke, writing poetry, boxing, and goofing around with her friends and family. Emma received her Bachelor's degree in English Writing from DePauw University and an MFA in Directing from Columbia College Chicago where she honed the craft of creating films she wishes she would have seen as a teenager.
